Sequoia Riverlands Trust is dedicated to educating
children and adults about the value of conserving natural and agricultural
resources. We recognize the importance of discovering beautiful places
and immersing yourself in a place that's peaceful and quiet. Our
goal is to create an atmosphere of enjoyment and curiosity to learn
about and care for our precious surroundings.
Teacher Info
Sequoia
Riverlands Trust offers special curriculum-based tours (see
tours) to
school groups for a modest fee. Field trips are available to
grades K-12, just a short bus ride from your school. Plan on
spending three to four hours at a preserve and stay for a picnic
lunch! Contact Jane Allen, Education Director at 559.738.0211
for more information or to schedule a school group tour.
$1000 Scholarship
Sequoia
Riverlands Trust developed a special youth conservation award
in honor of the memory of Reverend Lee Wilson, a pioneer in
service to youth at Kaweah Oaks Preserve. The purpose of the Lee
Wilson Award for Youth Service to our Environment is
to encourage young people in our community to improve their
natural environment by contributing their service to it.
Community Presentations
Staff and
Board members give presentations to groups in the community
on a regular basis. If you would like someone to talk to
your group, contact Amy Silveira, Development Director
at 559.738.0211.
