VOLUNTEERING

One of the easiest ways to contribute to the mission of Sequoia Riverlands Trust (SRT) is to spend a few hours a month volunteering. As a volunteer, you can lead nature hikes as a docent at our preserves, plan events, gather GPS data, help with restoration efforts, assist in daily activities at SRT headquarters and many other exciting opportunities. Volunteers with computer experience have added opportunities like designing and implementing presentations or helping maintain SRT's membership database.

SRT schedules regular training opportunities to provide volunteers with information on the organization and local natural and agricultural resources, along with offering special "insider" tours with some of our Board members and agency partners.

Not sure whether your skills and interests would fit? Just give us a call and find out or fill out a volunteer form (click here for PDF) and mail it to the address listed on it. Volunteering is easy and fun, with flexible hours and days (even weekends) to fit your schedule. Join our dedicated volunteer corps today! Contact Jane Allen, Volunteer Coordinator at 559.738.0211 x106.

Your efforts sharing the gifts the “out of doors” provides will make a big difference in the lives of these local youth.

No experience is necessary, but a love of children and the outdoors is a plus.  All naturalist training is provided and will be held in early March.  For more information or to sign up, contact Jane Allen , Education Director, at 559-738-0211 extension 106 or jane@sequoiariverlands.org.
