Our region features rare beauty, including
stands of majestic giant sequoia trees, clear-flowing rivers,
unique stretches of oak woodlands and spectacular fields of wildflowers.
Tulare County is also one of the largest agricultural producing
counties in the United States. The Sequoia Riverlands Trust (SRT)
recognizes that balance between the community, the economy and
natural habitats allows all systems to flourish.
SRT’s roots in the southern Sierra Nevada and San Joaquin
Valley run deep. Our commitment stretches back through two decades
of conservation work by our chapters and generations of land
management
experience by our staff and board. Recent successes in land protection,
restoration and educational outreach demonstrate that innovative,
yet practical, conservation solutions can enrich our communities.
